EFI vehicles refer to vehicles equipped with electronically controlled fuel injection systems.
The electronic control fuel injection system uses micro-integrated circuits to control the fuel injection volume according to various operating conditions of the car and the engine to promote the complete combustion of the fuel in the engine, thereby greatly reducing the exhaust pollution. Generally speaking, compared with carburetor vehicles, EFI vehicles have the performance advantages of high power, fuel saving, low noise, and high first ignition rate. Therefore, EFI vehicles are the first choice for both economical and practical, green and environmentally friendly.
EFI engines are very different from carburetor engines, and they are quite different in operating methods. When starting an EFI engine (including a cold start), there is generally no need to step on the accelerator. Because the EFI engine has the functions of cold start and enrichment, automatic cold car and fast idle speed, it can ensure the smooth start of the engine regardless of whether the engine is cold or hot; before and during the start of the engine, it is like starting a carburetor engine. The method of repeatedly stepping on the accelerator pedal quickly to increase the amount of fuel injection is invalid. Because the accelerator pedal of an EFI engine only controls the opening of the throttle, its fuel injection volume is completely determined by the computer according to the air intake parameters; the EFI engine should not run for a long time when the fuel tank is running out of fuel. Because the electric gasoline pump is cooled by the fuel flowing through the gasoline pump. Running the engine for a long time when the fuel tank is short of fuel will cause the electric gasoline pump to burn out due to overheating. Therefore, if your car is an EFI car, when the fuel warning light on the dashboard is on, you should refuel as soon as possible; Do not unplug any sensor plugs at the time, otherwise an artificial fault code will appear in the computer, which will affect the correct judgment and troubleshooting of the maintenance personnel.
